The Neighborhood Gift Exchange is a project I designed and implemented on behalf of Woman Made Gallery in Chicago. Over 180 people participated in the event, which took place at the Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival in July 2011. Participants used on-hand art supplies and found objects to create a one of a kind gift that they exchanged for another one made by a stranger. We documented each anonymous exchange, then printed and displayed the photos on the spot so that participants could return to see who received their gift.

Thanks to Woman Made Gallery, Tammi Franke, and Markus Giolas.
